Handy THS50 Push Feed, Grass and Salt Broadcast Spreader
The Handy THS50 is a dual-function broadcast spreader which can be used for spreading lawn fertilizers between springtime and autumn while during the winter months it can help you to keep paths and driveways free of ice by applying ice melts or processed salts. The spreader is very durable with a tough, corrosion resistant poly hopper that makes light work of distributing up to 23 kg (50 lb) of material at one time. Its maximum spread width of 3.0-3.65m (10-12 feet) enables the operator to cover a large area in a short space of time. In confined areas you can adjust your spread width by simply by going slower. The spreader has a sturdy metal frame, large pneumatic tyres, a comfort grip T-bar handle and is supplied with a rain cover & hopper screen to prevent clogging. The instructions could have been more simple and a Youtube video from the manufacturer is a must have. Product was extremely difficult to assemble (4 hours to put it together). I had to resort to Youtube video assembly of it's American counterpart to put me on the right track. In the instructions it gave some recommended settings for feed and weed, fertiliser etc. which were not current. I would have added settings to calibrate for UK feed and weed suppliers such as Scott's.
Assembling the unit was a little difficult, as I found the instruction information was a bit unclear. I still have a 16mm washer which l can't find a place to fit.
