Gardena COMBISYSTEM Bow Saw Head
Gardena's 691-20 Combisystem Bow Saw can be used as a standalone handheld saw and is compatible with standard 350mm bow saw blades, but the ability to mount it onto a Combisystem handle greatly increases its versatility and enables it to be used for pruning at height. With a suitable telescopic Combisystem handle attached, the bow saw can be used for pruning at heights of approximately 5 metres (depending on the height of the operator). The tool is supplied with a hardened precision tooth blade, and a twist-proof blade lock guarantees safe handling. Blade tension can be easily adjusted with the corrosion-proof tensioning mechanism, and the saw frame is also designed to be rust-proof. The saw is made in Germany and comes with a 25 year warranty. This bow saw stands out from the crowd of other cheaper versions of bow saw since the clever design allows either hand held use or fitted to a combisystem telescopic pole will allow high pruning to 5 metres including the user's height in a safe manner, free from falling from a ladder, The unique solid flat steel frame is powder coated to prevent rust and the special attached bolt with plastic coated thumb screw allows the fitting to be turned through 180 degrees when hand use is required, whilst setting the attachment to protrude beyond the frame allows fitting to a pole. The blade features hardened and tempered teeth in a skip tooth pattern and is extremely sharp, whilst the provision of adjustment bolts on either end of the blade fixing allows the orientation of the blade to any chosen angle and the inclusion of serrated clamping washers ensures that any selected angle remains solid and locked into position. Clearly this tool has been engineered to a very high standard and the addition of a telescopic pole directs the thrust whilst sawing in line with the blade for optimised effectiveness. A brilliant addition to any garden tool kit you will enjoy using for many years.
