Delivery was very slow, despite the item shown as being in stock, however, once received it was very easy to use and works brilliantly.
Well made and finished in a durable rust resistant paint finish. moist heavy clay soils can clog the cores but the previous advice on applying some lubrication was helpful. I also found a piece of bamboo of the right diameter, soon cleared them. clogging of the cores should become less of a problem as the soil condition improves - assuming that you are applying a lawn dressing into/over the cored area. a reasonably priced and well made, rugged piece of equipment that should last many years and will probably outlast my enthusiasm for a better lawn!

Good value for money, but as previous review it does get clogged up.
Works quite well in lifting plugs of soil, but tends to become clogged up - a lubricant spray helps with this though.Sturdy piece of kit so hoping it should last. Spear & Jackson have good reputation for reliability in my experience. Good value for money.
Disappointingly poor piece of equipment. Broke on first use. The design is poor and unfit for purpose and on closer inspection it is not surprising that if failed so easily. Tooled up did refund me on return of the tool and I thank them for that, however I would rather have had a tool that worked. Would not purchase another although job remains undone.
