Ideal for trimming larger hedges, this petrol powered split shaft hedge cutter provides 2.3 metres of reach and includes a harness along with integrated anti-vibration technology for comfortable working over extended periods.

Petrol Engines
It is important to read all instructions regarding petrol products. 4 Stroke engines require oil and some machines are supplied dry (No oil to start with). Running a 4 stroke petrol machine without oil will result in the engine seizing and is not covered under warranty.
2 Stroke engines will need to have a mix of oil in the petrol this is normally 1 part oil to 50 parts petrol but not always, again please read the instructions supplied with your machine. Petrol engines do require more maintenance than electric engines but if reguarly maintained they will normally give many years of use.

Used only once. Brilliant start, then got worse and worse. The information says check screws and bolts for tightness before each use, which i did. Very smooth when running and started easily. After several stops and starts it got harder to start and keep going. Vibration at low revs also became an issue. Checked everything was tight again, all seemed ok, but still the vibration. No damage to the cutting blades, which is said to be a cause. Eventually could not get the thing started. Became desperate and took off the plastic cover over the carburetor. The two bolts holding it on one fell out the other very loose! Not what i expect from a product of this nature. Tightened the bolts, engine great again, but still the vibration. Use with much higher revs seems to cure the problem. All this with only three quaters of a tank of fuel used. Pretty poor, maybe unlucky, the next time hopefully bits won't drop off!
