Makita BHX2501 MM4 Hand Held Petrol Garden Leaf Blower
With a top airspeed of 144mph & a massive air displacement rating of 10.1m³, Makita's BHX2501 makes light work of clearing up leaves & other outdoor debris. Its powerful 24.5cc engine is four stroke for reduced emissions, more efficient fuel consumption & lower maintenance demands, & is fitted with a mechanical decompression system for consistently easy starting. Don't be misled by the BHX2501's heavy duty performance - at only 4.4kg, it's light to carry & use, while an ergonomic rear handle makes for comfortable one handed operation. Included with your purchase is a blower tube, enabling air powered sweeping of debris for easy gathering. A vacuum tube & collection bag can be purchased separately (part no: MAKDEABHX2500S), allowing the blower to be used as a vacuum for rapid, suction powered leaf collection. The blower tube separates into two sections for space saving storage.

Exactly as described
Have moved to this 4 stroke petrol leaf blower from a battery operated one - battery life was too short and spare batteries are prohibitively expensive. Apart from being noisier than the battery version, I cannot praise this makita enough. Starts first time every time. Yes it is heavier but as a fit male I do not find this a problem (it helps to change hands from time to time).
Very easy to assemble and use. a very efficient piece of kit and well worth the money.
Third one we've bought and about to order another! a great 4 stroke blower at a great price
Brilliantly efficient. Surprised there is no carrying strap as it can be a little heavy on the arms. Ihave made a strap which makes it more acceptable. Otherwise- perfect
I have lusted after this item for some time and, although i haven't yet tested it with a decent quantity of leaves, it has lived up to my expectations. No problem filling the oil, i went to halfords and got their garden machine 4 stroke oil which is 10w/40 sg rated which is higher spec than required, about 6 quid. This has a pull out spout which makes the job easy. Started first time with very little effort and similarly every time since. also noticeably less smelly and dirty exhaust, much, much better than my old 2 stroke. the only point i would mention is that when i turned it sideways the exhaust smoked and suspect this is not advisable. 2 strokes off course will even work up-side-down, so if this is your style of blowing perhaps the 4 stroke is not for you.
