Karcher RM 555 Universal Cleaning Detergent
All-purpose cleaner for oil, grease and mineral deposits. For garden furniture, vehicles, facades and all water-resistant surfaces.
These are compatible with the new range of domestic pressure washers, they simply click into the back of the machine and run until empty. They can also be used with the other machines as normal.
Properties:
- multi-purpose cleaner to use in high pressure cleaners
- liquid, neutral pH-value
- for cleaning oil, grease and mineral soiling
- fast separation of oil and water in the oil separator (ASF)
- very gentle to materials
- manual applicable
- easily biodegradable in accordance with OECD guidelines
- pH- value in concentrate approx. 7
- clear, yellow liquid with fresh odour
Fields of application:
- car wash
- special applications
- house and garden
- cleaning of all water resistant surfaces
Process:
Object: e.g. vehicle cleaning
- fill the cleaning agent into the tank of the high pressure machine or put the suction pipe into the RM bottle.
- dosage approx. 5% at the high pressure cleaner, temperature up to 60°C
- clean the car starting below upward in steady and overlapping traces
- rinse with clear water

All good, seems a very good product.
Seems to me that the plug and clean set up and the cost of refills is a lot of fuss about nothing. The bottle has a crossed silicon seal inside the neck very similar to the non drip shower gel packs we all use these days. You don't have to drills holes in the bottle or force the top off and risk losing the seal integrity - just use a big squeezy bottle or similar of your favourite (bulk purchased) cleaner, fill it up, turn it over, put the top of the squeezy bottle into the cartridge neck and squirt the contents out and back into the cartridge. easy!
When empty drill the base with a suitable size drill to insert a small funnel pour contents from 2.5ltr then seal with waterproof tape and hey presto that will save you a couple of quid
Product seems overpriced for only one litre. Tamper proof caps seem to be designed to break rather than allow you to refill these bottles. This makes the k3.550 an expensive washer to use and leaves you with any 2.5 litre previously purchased containers of karcher detergents which can't be used with this "new" plug 'n' clean system
