Gardena Comfort long handled grass shears enable easy and accurate cutting of lawn edges from a back-saving, upright posture. Large, smooth-running wheels make it easy to navigate the shears during cutting. Using the adjustable angled handle, the Comfort Grass Shears can easily be adapted to fit the user’s height and the type of task. The non-stick coated cutting blades can be turned 90° to the right and the left for flexible operation – to provide perfect cutting results everywhere. The special blade bearing ensures consistently powerful cutting across the entire blade length. The grass shears have a practical single-hand safety lock for safe storage.

V . Good does exactly as I expected.
An excellent product that does the job very nicely and easily. As I have trouble bending over and also using ordinary shears this product solves all the problems.
I was looking for an alternative to a strimmer and bought these long-handled grass shears. I chose these specific ones based on reviews and the fact that the blades are adjustable (can be set to cut vertically or horizontally). Despite my doubts on how well such shears can work, they do indeed work very well ... and are very comfortable, especially for my back!

These shears are expensive but of excellent quality. There are 5 blade positions which are changed by holding at the base with the blades pointing forward and twisting to the right or left (once for 45 deg, twice for 90 deg). The default is horizontal. So you can cut just the top of the edge or the edge itself at 45 deg or vertically on the inside of the edge from either direction. The down side is that the blades are small - approx 14cm long and a max gap of 7.5cm (at the tips). However, if the blades were larger more effort would be required to operate the handle. On the upside they are sharp and not liable to snag. I am pleased I purchased these.
