Features and Benefits Specifications
Suitable for grass trimming and edging applications, the Black & Decker BESTA530 is a corded 550w machine which benefits from Black & Decker's E-Drive and PowerCommand technology. The E-Drive high torque gear system powers through tough overgrown areas without clogging, while the PowerCommand button automatically feeds the line so you can keep trimming without having to stop to adjust the spool. The shaft is telescopic to adjust for users of different heights and twisting it enables you to swap between trimming and edging modes. The BESTA530 has a 30cm cutting swath and a top cutting speed of 7500rpm.

super, powerful strimmer. I see some comments that unit uses too much strimmer cord, I would suggest that the unit is too powerful for standard 1.5mm strimmer cord. I have tried 2.00mm cord and it solves the problem.
It is a very good purchase but the line runs out quick but very good
This performs as you would expect for the price. It is much more powerful than the smaller strimmer it replaced. It cuts through grass at wall/fence boundaries with ease and when edging will cut a clear line (keep your concentration as if you go off line you will dig a furrow into your lawn). It clears the grass around a childs swing without taking the paint off the metal. I haven't yet tested it on thick undergrowth but feel it would handle all but tough woody stems of 1cm or thicker. Mine arrived missing the safety guard but after calling the helpline one was sent out.
Very happy with purchase, due to current circumstances it took a bit longer but that couldn't be helped. Excellent service.
