Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.

I had a few 36 volt batteries from 10 years ago that still fit this strimmer. Amazing such a beast of a trimmer, wire never snapped on whole garden which was a pet hate on my old corded one. Thanks. Looking at the trimmer next
I trapped my foot in a rabbit hole whilst walking down my sloping garden and was thrown forward. I instinctually used my strimmer to help break my fall! It snapped in half!! Probably saved me from a more serious injury. Ordered another one as I was very happy with it.
Very impressed with this 36v grass trimmer. Saves a lot of time and effort from getting out my petrol powered one just to do the fiddly bits that the main mower cannot get to. Pity that li-ion batteries are so eyewateringly expensive - particularly Bosch. Love to have a couple of 4ah ones.

Only used once so far. It did the job on tough grass quickly and well. I am using a 4Ah battery but it doesn't seem to upset the balance. I found it quite heavy and made a strap for it although it was a bit tricky getting the position for the strap just right. This made it much easier to use.
The trimmer works pretty well and is reasonably quiet. It's speed is changed by squeezing the on switch slightly more or slightly less. If wearing gardening gloves this is not easy to judge but with more practice should be OK. The angle of trim is adjusted by simultaneously pressing a button and rotating the shaft; there is a bit of a knack to doing this. My existing trimmer is very, very old and a health and safety disaster but when edge-trimming it is possible to look directly down onto the spinning cutter (not to be recommended). Like all modern trimmers this Bosch is designed to avoid this so in my first couple of tries I am finding it hard to get the neatness of edge I have had before. I have several Bosch tools and already own two batteries; used on a very large lawn inset with trees and fairly long grass I found the 1st battery lasted about 50 mins and the second completed the job about 45 mins later. If you have a large area to do I would seriously advise considering 2 batteries. It is early days with this tool but it is solidly made and I am sure I will get used to it. I am confident it will give good service.
