A 20cm, precision ground blade provides a smooth shearing motion thanks to Bosch's Anti-Blocking System, designed to rapidly oscillate in the event of a blockage, slicing through stubborn stems to prevent stalling. In order to achieve attractive results (& enjoy doing so), you need to be able to take your time; the ASB 10.8 LI's highly impressive 100 minute run time will prove more than sufficient for even the most demanding shaping applications. Handling is optimised by the shears' ergonomic, vibration absorbing softgrip handles, & a low overall weight of 900g. The ASB 10.8 LI is powered by an integrated Lithium Ion Battery, chargeable in only 3.5 hours. Lithium Ion Batteries are light, suffer from very little loss of charge during long term storage, & are not hampered by memory effect. Available separately is an additional grass shear blade, ideal for precise edging along lawn borders. An excellent tool. I have a number of box bushes in my garden and it trimmed them perfectly.
This product arrived early than expected. Works well and cuts well, very happy.
Superb bit of kit, bought a second one as a gift.
A simpler charging connector instead of the "din" plug would be a great improvement.
Fine for trimming box hedging but that's about it. anything substantial and the base dropped off mid cut. Cannot recommend this product for serious gardeners.
Pro's: the build quality seems very good and changing the blade is simple. con's: considering the high purchase cost, the asb 10.8v cordless shrub shear is underpowered. in order to cut effectively, you will have to hold the end of whatever your cutting, regardless of the thickness of the branch. better buying an electric model with a more powerful motor. i sent my one back for a refund.
